This kit is suitable for ponds up to 2000 gallons with light to moderate fish loads. It includes a Hakko 40l Air Pumps with 20 ft of sinking hose and a 12" Air Tube Diffuser with 3/4" connection. If you have a heavy fish load you may choose to upsize your kit to the next level.

If you live in area with drastic temperature changes, be sure to build your pond deep. Deeper ponds will have more stable water temperatures. The temperature in shallow ponds can fluctuate radically in spring. These fluctuations can make it difficult for beneficial bacteria to colonize.
